Product Manager, User Interfaces

Nominum is seeking an individual contributor to collaborate closely with developers, interface designers, and other product managers to define the next generation, highly interactive interfaces for all Nominum products and services. The role demands an ability to think beyond individual products and features and focus on the overall visual interaction and usability of Nominum products and services.

Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of web and mobile interface frameworks
  • Effective at creating customer relevant requirements
  • Effective customer briefings for business leaders, senior IT executives and architects
  • Ability to synthesize direction based on competitive analysis

General Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating product development with engineering, field teams and other Nominum product managers
  • Coordinating product releases and rollouts with engineering, support and operations
  • Understand and analyze user needs around the globe
  • Research markets and competitors to define competitive differentiation
  • Work with customers, sales and prospects to develop product requirements
  • Work with engineers and partners to define clear technical product specifications, this includes definition of new features and enhancements from the user interface perspective, which includes wire framing, use cases, etc.
  • Working with sales directors and systems engineers to obtain information to answer engineering questions
  • Own end-to-end delivery of product features
  • Develop and launch new releases of the solution
  • Working with documentation and marketing teams to create, and review the creation of, data sheets, printed manuals, and VoD or programmed training materials
  • Coordinating the usability test studies with our UE testing contractors, field teams and partners
  • Define product vision and direction

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
  • 3-5 years experience in product and design management with web and mobile applications
  • Experience in product and design management presenting complex data models via web and mobile front-ends
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical abilities
  • Experience in Operations, Administration, Management and Provisioning
  • Clear written and oral communication skills

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Successfully have managed a full product lifecycle of a web/mobile based service/solution
  • Strong User Experience, User Interface and Usability Design expertise
  • Experience with working with Technology Partners and integration of delivery solutions
  • Defining product requirements for large scale data centric environments
  • 5+ years-related Product Management experience.
