New Role Will Support Nominum’s Growth in Expanded Market Opportunities
Redwood City, CA., October 3rd, 2006 – Nominum Inc., the leading provider of network naming and addressing solutions, today announced that Tom Tovar has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Tom will be responsible for Nominum’s sales, marketing, business development and engineering operations worldwide.
This new role positions Nominum to take advantage of new opportunities in the worldwide carrier markets, including cable and fixed line broadband markets as well as new opportunities in Wireless, IMS, IPTV, VoIP, VoIP Peering and Fixed to Mobile Convergence.
Tom was previously Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development for Nominum where he more than doubled the company’s overall sales revenues and drove significant worldwide partnering and alliances. Prior to Nominum, Tom was the Vice President in charge of corporate development at Netscreen Technologies, Inc which was acquired by Juniper Networks.
