New Carrier Sales and Marketing Executive Appointments Aim to Propel Business Growth

Redwood City, Calif., – January 2, 2008 — Nominum, the leading provider of network naming and addressing technologies, announced today that Pete Wisowaty has been appointed to Vice President of Carrier Sales and Gopala Tumuluri has been appointed to Vice President of Marketing. With these appointments, both Pete and Gopala will join Nominum’s executive team and further the company’s commitment to powering the world’s always-on networks.  

With over two decades of sales, sales management  and business development experience, Pete is responsible for expanding the company’s carrier sales revenue globally, further driving Nominum’s footprint and leadership in the wireline, cable broadband and VoIP markets. Over the past three years with the company, Pete has shown exceptional leadership as part of the sales team, consistently demonstrating the ability to secure significant customer wins through long-term partnership building with leading carriers. Prior to joining Nominum, Pete held strategic sales and business development roles at companies including Grand Central Communications, WhereNet and Photuris.

Gopala has been appointed Marketing Vice President and is responsible for worldwide marketing for the company. He brings a wealth of experience to this role in launching and sustaining innovative network infrastructure solutions in carrier and enterprise markets worldwide. Prior to joining Nominum, Gopala was Director of Product Marketing for Foundry Networks’ application acceleration switch product lines. In this role, he successfully re-positioned the products in the high-end carrier and enterprise markets, and helped double product line revenues. His prior roles include senior level product management and engineering positions at Elematics, Calient Networks and Marconi (FORE Systems).
