Nominum Appoints Tom Tovar as Vice-President of Business Development

Juniper Networks and NetScreen Technologies executive moves into newly-created post
Redwood City, CA, May 2nd, 2005 – Nominum, the leading provider of IP Address Management Solutions, announced that Tom Tovar has joined the company as VP of Business Development. In this role, Tom will be responsible for defining and executing Nominum’s worldwide partnering, alliance and M&A initiatives. Tom has a proven track record of creating successful deals with leading network and security companies.
Most recently, Tom was the Vice President of Legal Affairs at Juniper Networks and Vice President in charge of Corporate Development at NetScreen Technologies, Inc. In these roles, Tom was a key driver in NetScreen's growth strategy, business alliance, strategic partnering and M&A activities, including transactions with major partners and NetScreen’s acquisition by Juniper Networks for $4 Billion in April 2004. Tom also served as NetScreen's Vice President of Legal Affairs.

Previous to NetScreen, Tom worked as a lawyer at Cooley Godward LLP where he led the private financings, initial public offerings, strategic alliance and licensing transactions, as well as merger and acquisition efforts, for numerous and successful companies in the technology sector. Tom holds a B.B.A., magna cum laude, in finance from the University of Houston, and a J.D. from Stanford University.
