Europe’s Premier Business Communications Provider Chooses Nominum Foundation Management Center for Centralized Control of its IP Network
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. July 28, 2003 – Nominum, a pioneering provider of IP address infrastructure software, today announced that COLT Telecom, a leading European provider of business communication services, has chosen Nominum Foundation™ Management Center (FMC) to support management of its pan-European IP address infrastructure.
COLT Telecom delivers tailored communications services to some of the world’s biggest brands across 13 European markets. COLT chose Nominum FMC to ensure that its wholly owned 20,000-kilometer network meets stringent requirements for reliability and administrative cost control, while providing the flexibility to support the continued growth of IP computing. Winner of the coveted World Communication Award for Customer Care two years in a row, COLT required a solution that would enable 100% network availability for its customers.
Nominum Foundation Management Center will provide COLT with a centralized management application to administer large pools of interconnected resources, and to maintain logs of IP usage and DNS and DHCP server configuration changes. Nominum FMC minimizes the IP address administration costs and prepares the network for new technologies based on interconnectivity.
