Nominum Drives Growth with Strategic Executive Hires

REDWOOD CITY, CA., May 6, 2002 - Nominum, a pioneer of Internet name and address
management solutions, today announced two additions to its executive management
team. Cristi Garvey, former Senior Director for Quality Engineering for Siebel,
has been named Nominum's Vice President of Engineering. Richard Probst, former
Vice President of Marketing for Ejasent, has been named Vice President of
Product Management. These additions strengthen Nominum's existing executive
leadership, which includes the team of engineers and scientists who created DNS
and many of the standards on which the Internet is built.

Cristi Garvey brings over 25
years of experience in the field of engineering to Nominum. Cristi served as the
Senior Director for Quality Engineering for Siebel, where her team improved the
quality and the testability of Siebel's core infrastructure and web engine
architecture. Cristi has also served as the Vice President of Product
Development for Cohera, and as the Vice President for Server and Datablades
Engineering for Informix. Cristi was a product development executive at
Illustra, and introduced Illustra's object-relational database architecture into
the Informix Dynamic Server.
Richard Probst has a proven track record
for driving the growth of both established and startup technology companies for
over 17 years. Richard was responsible for product management for Calico
Commerce, an eCommerce startup, and was the founding Vice President of Product
Marketing for Ejasent, an Internet infrastructure startup. Richard held senior
management positions in both marketing and product development at Sun
Microsystems, joining Sun prior to its IPO. While at Sun, Richard was a key
contributor to the creation of CORBA.
