DHCP
Demand for IP addressing services is increasing. More and more devices such as smartphones and netbooks need to connect to the Internet via fixed, mobile and Wi-Fi networks. To meet these current and future connectivity challenges, we developed Dynamic Configuration Server (DCS) to be a carrier-grade DHCP server targeted at network operators that require performance, scalability and 100% availability. DCS augments basic DHCP operations with a high-performance architecture, open interfaces for integration with RADIUS, LDAP, or other provisioning systems, failover capabilities and future proof IPv6 (DHCPv6) support to help achieve optimal service levels.
Dynamic Configuration Server
DCS is a high performance DHCP server, providing IP address leases to any IP-enabled device. DCS is optimized for large scale, heterogeneous and highly distributed network topologies and supports these environments with the full range of DHCP leasing options to give network owners maximum flexibility and control in deploying IP-centric resources.
DCS is designed for highly dynamic environments with large numbers of connected devices. At the heart of DCS is a high performance in-memory cache which can provide hundreds of thousands of leases. The memory is backed up by a proprietary, journaling database that is optimized for DHCP functionality and facilitates phenomenal lease response times and lightning fast restarts no matter how many leases are being managed.
DCS also offers a rich management layer that simplifies operation and administration with real-time monitoring via SNMP traps and customizable log messages that make auditing easy. DCS has open interfaces for integration with RADIUS, LDAP, or other provisioning systems and also offers native APIs for custom integration.
Active-active failover mechanism and DHCPv6 support are some of the other advanced features making DCS a powerful part of any network.
