Senior Software Engineer
We seek a versatile C/C++ programmer to contribute to the development of Nominum's products. If you are passionate about technology, committed to writing quality software, and obsessed with performance and scalability, this is a perfect opportunity.
Our development teams are responsible for all aspects of development including design, development, testing, debugging and integration with other products. The candidate should be motivated to be part of a small aggressive team building a new product from the ground up.
Location: Redwood City, CA
Requirements:
- Very solid knowledge of C and/or C++
- Expert knowledge of Java and scripting languages such as Python
- 5 or more years in design and development of internet server systems, preferably on Unix/Linux based operating systems
- Knowledge of OSS interfaces such as TL-1, SOAP, PL/SQL and how to integrate into those systems
- Clear understanding of state machines, high availability and scalability concepts
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts/technologies and integrating into a software solution
- Knowledge of make, subversion, and Unix-based software development tools
Desirable:
- Knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323
- Knowledge of the DNS protocol
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Programming
